Pick by Voice

Increased efficiency, fewer errors and a better working environment are just a few of the advantages of the "Pick by Voice" technology.

The warehouse operative has hands and eyes free to move around the warehouse unhindered and concentrate on inputting, picking and replenishing picking locations, and to carry out zero-level observation counting quickly and without error. The only equipment required is a wireless headset and small portable voice terminals, which are integrated online into LOGIA. The operative receives the picking information in the headset, after which the spoken response is transmitted wirelessly back to LOGIA.

Increased efficiency and quality
A boost in efficiency is achieved through the fact that the warehouse operative can receive and acknowledge information whilst moving from one picking location to the next. A boost in terms of picking quality is realised thanks to the fact that the operative only hears one job at a time, and picking from the correct location is ensured by the reading of control digits. A “calculator” in the speech dialogue provides continuous, real-time info on the remaining quantity that is to be picked on the line in question.

A working day with variation
The integration of zero-level observation counting, inputting and replenishment jobs in "Pick by Voice" also provides the warehouse operative with a varied working day in which a good overview and influence on the working day are as far as possible maintained.

The "Pick by Voice" technology can be used at all warehouses, but is particularly beneficial at manually controlled warehouses with a high turnover of stock, large volumes and frequent picking intervals at item or crate level.
