Background

The development of the RENOMATIC system started in 1998 by request from MiljøTeam Århus (now Århus MiljøCenter). The first version of the system went live in the beginning of 1999 and has been significantly developed since then.

In connection with the concession of waste handling was repealed in Århus Municipality in 2000/2001, MiljøTeam Århus was devided into Århus MiljøCenter and MiljøTeam A/S respectively.

Both companies has since then used and developed RENOMATIC in cooperation with Logimatic.

In 2003 Logimatic began to market and sell RENOMATIC to municipalities and waste handling companies in Denmark. The first customer was Greve Municipality, which went live in 2004.

In the following years waste handling companies like e.g. I/S Revas, NRVaffald i/s and Reno Djurs (picture) have also chosen to implement RENOMATIC. Furthermore, Logimatic has ongoing dialogues with several other municipalities and waste handling companies regarding implementation of RENOMATIC.

RENOMATIC is also a very crucial element in an EU financed waste handling project for Aalborg Municipality’s cooperating municipality in China, called Hefei. Hefei Municipality counts more than 4 million citizens in Eastern China. The primary use of RENOMATIC is handling and monitoring the disposal of dangerous waste (hospital and industrial waste). The partners involved in this project are Aalborg Municipality (the Waste dep.), Niras and the Swedish municipality Vara.
